Pastor's Page

Hello,
     Who I am.
I am John Eatherly, pastor of Mt. Carmel Church.  I graduated as an honor student at Columbia State Community College, Middle Tennessee State University, and PAS at Memphis Theological Seminary.  In 1990 I was given the honor of Who's Who in Religion, after receiving Who"s Who in high school and Who's Who in American Junior Colleges. Someone said, "You must be a Hoot Owl".  I have served on the Academic Council as well as the Development Committee of Columbia State Community  College.

I love my church.  I have been pastor of Mt Carmel for over 9 years and still have a wonderful relationship with the church. We are growing in  spirit and numbers.  Some people have united because we have a blend of contemporary and traditional service.  We lean toward the  tradition of  the church that made America great.  IN GOD WE TRUST!

     About someone more important.
Jesus Christ is the only hope we have for life, family, nation and world.  You might call us old-fashioned, but I don't see any change in God's redemption for mankind.  Society changes and can get lost in self-determination.  But, we will follow God's determined plan of salvation
for all mankind.  God sent His only begotten Son into the world to save those that are lost.

He did not come into the world to judge the world for it has already been judged. Sin is death.  Jesus came to save us, pull us out of judgement, that we may inherit eternal life in God's love and glory.  We would love to have you on this journey with us.

May I see you on Sunday morning.
